ICOMOS Conference

“Historic Cities in the Unesco World Heritage List: opportunities and drifts” Conference to be held on 7-8 June at Aula Magna, Lingotto, Politecnico di Torino.

The conference will host several Italian and international experts discussing the role of urban planning in conservation and management plans for UNESCO Historic Cities.

  • On 7th June, guest speakers from Italy, Egypt, India, Iran, and Russia will present nine cases of World Heritage historic cities that will be discussed and debated during the event. Individual presentations will be followed by final sessions discussions and by a final contribution by dr. Guido Montanari, Vice Mayor of Turin Municipality
  • On 8th June, 12 invited Italian and international experts will compare and discuss the themes emerged by the presentation of the cases from Egypt, India, Iran and Russia, focusing on the difficulties to develop and implement management plans in WH Historic Cities

The ICOMOS Conference is

  • in partner with ICOMOS Italia, ANCSA, INU National Institute of Urban Planning, Centro Studi SS-EBLA.
