Biography

Dr Gabriella Negrini, PhD in Pianificazione Territoriale e Mercato Immobiliare (PTMI) in 1997 and Research Fellow from 1999 to 2002 at the Politecnico of Torino - DITer (Interuniversity Department), now DIST Interuniversity Department of Regional and Urban Studies and Planning). Since 1990 she has participated in numerous research activities on the themes of Nature Parks, Protected Areas and landscape policies, planning and management in Europe, and since 1994 she has continuously collaborated specifically in the research and documentation Centre CED PPN (European Documentation Center on Nature Parks Planning), established in 1994 at the DITer (now DIST). Since 1996 the CED PPN has been a Member of the IUCN (International Union for Conservation of Nature). Since 2005 she has been the research technician and contact person of the CED PPN with functions of coordination and support activities for the research, teaching and organization, management and updating of documentation and archive on Protected Areas and Nature Park in Europe. Her main fields of research are nature conservation policies (nature parks and protected area planning and management) and landscape policies, in their relationship, at national and European level. On these topics, she has published several contributions in national and international journals and books and has presented reports and communications at national and international conferences and seminars.
