Towards innovative cities?
In its period as Visiting Professor at DIST, prof. Gilles Novarina proposes a PhD Course on the innovation of cities and urban planning practices by presenting some case studies from Europe.
In particular, the course deals with the links between innovation and creativity and analyzes the relationships between technological clusters and urban society.
The course places emphasis on the necessary complementarity between knowledge economy, productive economy and “économie résidentielle” and assesses the impact upon territorial planning of a local development based on knowledge economy.
