Architect, PhD in Landscape Design, Associate Professor in Urban and Landscape Planning at Politecnico di Torino, she holds the Italian Full Professorship registration since 2018. Head of the School of Planning and Design, past Chair of the MSc in Regional, Urban, Environmental and Landscape Planning.
Lecturer in the Post-Graduate School on Architectural and Landscape Heritage and in the PhD Program Urban and Regional Development. She holds courses and studios in Italian and English language (Landscape and Regional Planning, Planning for Environment, Planning for Heritage, Landscape protection and Planning), and lectured at/for UTokyo, NagoyaU, KIT, TUDelft, Lyon2, Chicago dePaul, MIT and in international workshops.

Scientific Director of EU funded projects (H2020) and of applied research committed by public authorities incl. Ministry for cultural heritage, regional and local authorities, park authorities, research institutes. Research topics: landscape protection and planning, landscape analysis and assessment, landscape scenery, cultural and natural heritage, green infrastructures, urban green and urban agriculture, rural development. Applied research, on commitment by public authorities, for landscape plans, strategic plans, management plans for protected areas and UNESCO sites, spatial plans and guidelines at the regional and city region scale, rural development programs and related evaluation frameworks.

On the above mentioned issues, she chaired international conference sessions (IALE, UNISCAPE et al.) and lectured internationally. Invited visiting scholar at The University of Copenhagen (2021), Visiting Scholar e Principal Investigator di joint research project con The Tokyo University (2017-2019); Invited Research Fellow at Nagoya University (2016); Guest Lecturer a Université Lyon2 (2017); Partner of the Global Learning Experience Program of Chicago De Paul University (2017-2022); MIT (MISTI, 2017), joint workshops with TUDelft (2019), Kyoto Institute of Technology (2019), Hosei and SCI-Arch (2018).

Member of the PoliTO Japan Hub Board. Past Member of the UNISCAPE Executive Board (Network of Universities for the implementation of the European Landscape Convention, 2017-2021). Representative of PoliTO in the Italian Society of Planners (SIU) and past member of the SIU EB, Chair of the XXIII SIU National Conference on the topic “Demographic Shrinkage and Spatial reorganization” (Torino, 2021).
