CULTURAL ROUTES OF THE COUNCIL OF EUROPE: CULTURAL HERITAGE, LANDSCAPE AND TOURISM

Under the patronage of the European Institute for Cultural Routes, in collaboration with University Network for Cultural Routes Studies, which the Politecnico di Torino (DIST) joined in 2020, and wih the Scuola di specializzazione in Beni architettonici e del paesaggio e il Interuniversity PhD programme in Urban and Regional Development (URD), and master degree courses in Progettazione delle aree verdi e del paesaggio; Economia dell'Ambiente, della Cultura e del Territorio; Pianificazione Territoriale, Urbanistica e Paesaggistico-Ambientale | Territorial, Urban, Environmental and Landscape Planning, will take place from 1 to 6 July at the Castello del Valentino, the first workshop Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe: Cultural Heritage, Landscape and Tourism (seminar module),

The aim of the workshop is to address the theme of the Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe, which represent in their specificity a node of fundamental importance in the active interpretation of cultural heritage and are configured as strategic tools to guide the processes of territorial and landscape enhancement.

Participants are involved in numerous activities (lectures, seminars, group work) with the participation of members of other universities and national and international institutions. The activities, in English, are organised in:

· Module I: Ex cathedra lessons, lectures and seminars (20 hrs, 1- 6 July 2022);
· Module II: Study visit in northern Italy (3-4 days) with on-site workshop activities (20 hrs, 22 – 24 July 2022); Study visits in Piedmont (September 2022);
· Module III: Work activities by students with the support of tutors, teaching staff and the collaboration of members of the institutions involved (35 hrs, September 2022).
