h. 2:30 pm | ONLINE

Elvira Pietrobon is an architect who graduated from EPFL in Lausanne and is currently a PhD student in urbanism at IUAV in Venice. Since 2018, she has been living and working in Mali, between Ségou and Bamako. She is a member of the Mieruba collective, a cultural center and publishing house in Ségou, and she collaborates with the Le Lac de Lassa collective, an agro-cultural center in Bamako. Her research focuses on the role of peasant practices in urban and territorial dynamics in southern Mali, exploring an alternative, decolonial perspective on the ecologies of the living in this region as elsewhere.
