The role and future perspectives of European metropolitan areas in the EU cohesion policy

A conclusione del Progetto ESPON METRO - The role and future perspectives of Cohesion Policy in the planning of Metropolitan Areas and Cities (www.espon.eu/metro), la Città metropolitana di Torino e il Politecnico di Torino organizzano una giornata di presentazione e discussione dei risultati del progetto.

La giornata si articola in due momenti:

  • 10.00-12.45: peer learning workshop “Le città metropolitane italiane nella politica di coesione europea: evidenze e prospettive” organizzato in collaborazione con il Comune di Firenze e l’Università degli Studi di Firenze, per presentare e discutere i risultati del progetto, in particolare relativi ai casi studio delle Città metropolitane di Torino e Firenze, e riflettere sul ruolo delle città metropolitane italiane nella politica di coesione europea.
  • 14.00-18.00: conferenza internazionale “The role and future perspectives of European metropolitan areas in the EU cohesion policy” con presentazione e discussione dei risultati del progetto e dei suoi nove casi studio, e riflessioni paneuropee sul ruolo delle aree metropolitane nella politica di coesione 2021-27.

At the conclusion of the project ESPON METRO - The role and future perspectives of Cohesion Policy in the planning of Metropolitan Areas and Cities (www.espon.eu/metro), the Metropolitan City of Turin and the Politecnico di Torino organize a peer learning workshop and a high level policy conference to present and discuss the outcomes of the project.

The event is divided into two sessions:
  • 10.00 a.m.-12.45 p.m.: peer learning workshop “Le città metropolitane italiane nella politica di coesione europea: evidenze e prospettive” organized in collaboration with the City of Florence and the University of Florence, to present and discuss the project results in the case studies of the Metropolitan Cities of Turin and Florence, and reflect on the role of Italian metropolitan cities in the EU cohesion policy.
  • 2.00-6.00 p.m.: International conference "The role and future perspectives of European metropolitan areas in the EU cohesion policy" with presentation and discussion of the project results and its nine case studies, and pan-European reflections on the role of metropolitan areas in the 2021-27 cohesion policy.
