GIANCARLO COTELLA nuovo Segretario Generale AESOP
Il Segretariato Generale di AESOP (Association of European Schools of Planning) si è trasferito a Torino!
Il 15 luglio si è concluso il 35th AESOP 2023 Annual Congress in Łódź on “Integrated Planning in a World of Turbulence”.
Molti contributi da tutto il mondo e molte sessioni interessanti hanno animato la conferenza per tutta la settimana.
Con la sessione di chiusura ha avuto luogo anche il passaggio di consegne del Segretariato Generale di AESOP e, dopo quattro anni di eccellente servizio, la prof.ssa Angelique Chettiparamb ha concluso il suo mandato.
La Segreteria Generale si trasferisce al Politecnico di Torino e il Prof. Giancarlo Cotella del Dipartimento Interateneo di Scienze, Progetto e Politiche del Territorio (DIST) assume l’incarico di nuovo Segretario Generale AESOP. Il dottorando Donato Casavola lo affiancherà come Assistente del Segretario generale.
È la prima volta che il Segretariato dell'AESOP è affidato ad una Scuola italiana, e questo costituisce certamente un'importante opportunità per consolidare la visibilità internazionale della comunità urbanistica italiana e, in particolare, dei corsi di laurea triennale e magistrale del Collegio di Pianificazione e Progettazione del Politecnico di Torino.

The General Secretariat of AESOP (Association of European Schools of Planning) moved to Turin!
On the 15th of July the 35th AESOP 2023 Annual Congress in Łódź on “Integrated Planning in a World of Turbulence” came to a conclusion. Many contributions from all over the world and many interesting sessions animated the conference throughout the week. With the closing session, the handover of the General Secretariat of AESOP also took place and, after four years of excellent service, Prof. Angelique Chettiparamb ended her term.
The General Secretariat moves to the Interuniversity Department of Regional and Urban Studies and Planning (DIST) of Politecnico di Torino, and Prof. Giancarlo Cotella takes office as the new AESOP Secretary General. The Ph.D. candidate Donato Casavola will support him as Assistant to the Secretary General.
This is the first time that the AESOP Secretariat is hosted at an Italian School, and it certainly constitutes an important opportunity to consolidate the international visibility of the Italian spatial planning community as well as of the spatial planning bachelor and master courses of POLITO Schools of Planning and Design.
