DEFINING AN ACTION PLAN FOR URBAN AND PERI-URBAN AGRICULTURE
EFUA final Conference – Special session
City officials’ intensive training workshop
EFUA aims to unlock Urban Agriculture’s potential through achieving better networking, better knowledge, better deployment, and better policies in the field. Focusing on spatial issues, EFUA identified a set of recommendations for planning with and for Urban Agriculture. By this workshop, we’d like to foster cities’ initiatives in the field, contributing to the design of effective planning processes and instruments. Acknowledging the variety of existing frameworks and tools (strategic and statutory plans, zoning and sectoral regulations, agreements, incentives, amongst many), the workshop aims to support city officials in the definition of an action plan for Urban and Peri-urban Agriculture (UPA), adopting tailored solutions and removing obstacles to the development of UPA. The EFUA team will share expertise and the H2020 Project results, setting up a collaborative and hands-on exercise on the real case of the participants’ own city. The expected result is a draft baseline for an Action Plan.
