URBAN CLIMATE SHELTERS IN SCHOOLYARDS. A Pathway towards Heat Resilient and Healthy Cities
The seminar Urban Climate Shelters in Schoolyards. A Pathway towards Heat Resilient and Healthy Cities is the kick-off seminar of the EU DUT Project MAINCODE, coordinated by Ombretta Caldarice.
DUT MAINCODE focuses on mainstreaming nature to co-design urban climate shelters in schoolyards. The seminar discussed with international experts the concept of open schooling that ensures schoolyards are a safe, welcoming and accessible space to everyone, fostering greener urban public spaces and pathways to heat resilient and healthy cities.
This project has been funded by the Ministero dell’Università e della Ricerca (MUR), the Innovation Fund of Denmark (IFD), and General Secretariat for Research and Innovation (GSRI) under the Driving Urban Transitions Partnership which has been co-funded by the European Commission.
