CLIMATE CHANGE AND PRECARIOUS SETTLEMENTS IN BRAZIL
This seminar examines the socio-environmental and socio-climatic tensions that exacerbate housing precariousness in Brazilian informal settlements in the context of the climate crisis. It explores how overlapping urban vulnerabilities intensify risks, highlighting how social inequality renders low-income populations the most exposed to the extreme impacts of climate change.
