International legal frameworks and their im/possibilities: The dispossession of Palestinian Bedouin communities in the West Bank

The lecture will explore the international legal frameworks governing the West Bank/East Jerusalem, as a starting point to assess the forced displacement of Palestinian Bedouins, the takeover of their land by Israeli settlers supported by the state apparatus, and how the system of impunity for international law violations drives a humanitarian and political disaster for these communities.

It will be followed by “We Will Remain”, a 30-minutes documentary that intimately portrays the threatened Palestinian Bedouin communities scattered across the Jerusalem desert in the West Bank.
