XR Fundamentals for Media Professionals
Within the European Erasmus+ project AVENUE CoVE, Politecnico di Torino is organizing XR Fundamentals for Media Professionals, a training course coordinated by Andrea Bottino from the Department of Control and Computer Engineering-DAUIN and dedicated to the fundamentals of extended reality for media and audiovisual production professionals.
The course will take place from 8 to 12 June 2026, with afternoon sessions from 4.00 pm to 7.00 pm, and is aimed at audiovisual professionals who wish to approach immersive technologies without previous experience in XR.
Participants will have the opportunity to explore the fundamental concepts of VR and AR, hardware ecosystems and the basics of immersive application development through a combination of lectures and hands-on experimentation with existing XR applications.
Participation is application-based and open to a maximum of 12–15 participants. Activities will take place in Aula 6C of Cittadella Politecnica.
