Future city forms? What size/form?

Morphology - The Bartlett seminar - Speaker Luca S. D'Acci

In this seminar, we empirically evaluate city size, in Heckman’s sense, by asking whether the cost-benefit balance of each settlement’s size expands or contracts the utility possibility frontier for society as a whole and for individuals. We then, normatively and speculatively, discuss possible futures.
What will the city be like? Will it be a city? What size/form? What should it be like? Should it be a city? What size/form? Why yes, why no? What does research indicate so far? What solutions could there be to unite the yeses and the nos?
